

Centre Thorupgården is located in the centre of Copenhagen, in the neighbourhood of Nørrebro, and faces the streets Smedegade and Thorupsgade. The building was erected in 1978 and is owned by the municipality of Copenhagen.
Centre Thorupgården has 4 residential units, one on each floor, with a total of 50 two-room flats and 60 one-room flats. The residential unit for young people is located on the fourth floor. The residential units for adults are on the first, second and third floors.
The ground floor houses a café with fitness facilities, a computer workshop etc. The floor also houses the administration, kitchen and a canteen catering the residents of the house and their relatives.
Centre Thorupgården is a handicap-friendly building.
One-room Flats
The one-room flats have a size of 27.8 m2, including a bath and toilet. The living room is approx. 17.5 m2.
All the flats face Smedegade to the southwest. The living room is fitted with antenna sockets for TV and radio as well as a telephone socket.
Two-room Flats
The two-room flats are independent flats of 50 m2, including a bath, toilet, kitchen and balcony. The living room is approx. 30.5 m2.
All the flats have their own roofed balconies facing either Thorupsgade or the atrium at the street of Murergade. The living room is fitted with antenna sockets for TV and radio as well as a telephone socket.
Shared Facilities in the Residential Units
The first, second and third floors each has a dining room and a preparation kitchen facing the atrium and a living room with a balcony facing Thorupsgade.
The residential unit on the fourth floor has its own kitchen, and the residents and staff share responsibility for cooking.
The basement has shared laundry facilities.
Surroundings
Centre Thorupgården has an atrium, and there are many recreational areas in the neighbourhood as well. Its location on Nørrebro provides excellent opportunities for activities such as:

Residential Centre Thorupgården, Tranehavegård Section.
The residential centre Thorupgården, Tranehavegård Section, opened 19 February 2007. The Tranehavegård section has 24 flats and is an accommodation option pursuant to section 107 of the Danish Social Services Act.
